In 2011, there were a lot of dope fitteds that I could have chosen for my list but I had to slim it down to 5. ONLY five. Let me tell you, it’s harder than you think. Mine were picked mainly because I liked the colors or the style. This list wasn’t organized by worst to best or all that junk, it’s just my top 5 hats that I am fond of. Anyways, onto my choices!
1. LEADERS 1354 x NEW ERA「NeopoliTone」59Fifty Fitted Baseball Cap
The Chicago brand, LEADERS 1354, released this NeopoliTone fitted in July. I snoozed on this, but I still really like the color scheme. It’s colorful and it sticks out, just what I look for in a hat. I like the brim’s colors the most. Light Green and Pink? I’ve never seen that on a fitted until this hat.
2. SUPREME x NEW ERA 「Loro Piana® Box Logo」59Fifty Fitted Baseball Caps
When SUPREME dropped their Loro Piana box logo fitted, only one colorway caught my eye: the Tan hat. I’m a sucker for a Khaki or Tan cap. But I’m kind of a newbie when it came to Supreme, so I passed this up. I like how although it’s a simple style, it still looks dope. It’s weird, in a good way, how such a simple box logo can be such a fan favorite. Anyways, since I snoozed on this drop I’ll have to just add it to my grail list for now.
3. JUGRNAUT x NEW ERA「Grape」59Fifty Fitted Baseball Caps
I’m not a huge fan of Jordans, but the colors on this fitted are crazy! JUGRNAUT, one of my favorite boutiques in Chicago, created this hat for the Jordan 5′s back in October. When I saw them release it, I had to get my hands on it. The White/Teal/Purple color scheme pops out and turns a lot of heads. I think the underbrim is what hooked me. Yep, I fell in love with the Teal underbrim.
4. MISHKA x THE CLINK ROOM x NEW ERA 「Cycotics City」59Fifty Fitted Baseball Caps
When I first saw this MISHKA and THE CLINK ROOM collab, I wasn’t too keen on grabbing it. But when I saw it in person, I was amazed at the size of the patch on the front panel. It’s a thick embroidery and when they say raised, they actually mean RAISED. It’s a simple style, but I am a fan of both brands so I couldn’t pass this up. Plus, you get a free patch with your purchase. Sign me up for one!
5. CROOKS & CASTLES x NEW ERA「Baseball Script」59Fifty Fitted Caps
Like I said before, I am a fan of the Khaki/Tan colored fitteds. I can never rock a plain all Black hat. CROOKS & CASTLES created this dope Baseball Script style and made one with a Tan crown and a Burgundy “Crooks” on the front. *drools*. Crooks & Castles never fails to impress me when they drop fitteds. And with that, the fifth and final spot of my list has been taken.
