Oh when the Saints come marching in. Scratch that what I should have said is oh wen Drew Brees comes marching in. Monday night belonged to Drew Brees, he lead his team to a convincing victory and broke hall of fame quarterback Dan Marino’s 27 year old single season passing record of 5,084 yards. Not bad for a nights work. Brees has been on fire this season with a 108.4 passer rating, 5,086 passing yards, 41 touchdowns and 12 games in which he has passed for 300 or more yards. That stat line is ridiculous, as one of my freinds said, these are video game numbers. I’m sure Brees has made plenty of fantasy team owners extremely happy with his gaudy numbers. Records are definitely made to be broken but some seem more out of reach than others, this was one of those records that seemed as if it would stand the test of time but no such luck for Hall of Famer Dan Marino who had his name bumped down a notch in NFL record books by future Hall of Famer Drew Brees.
