Tis’ the season for giving, which is exactly what LUIS RUANO and several other participants are doing as apart of the Battle of the Bay Charity Project. The project looks to raise money to donate to the Children’s Hospital of Oakland to purchase toys and everyday essentials for those in need. In addition, with the help of New Era, Brooklyn Circus, HUF, Mr., Upper Playground, FTC, Benny Gold and Shoebiz special items are being raffled away including the 59Fifty fitted cap pictured above. The concept comes from the 1989 World Series between the Oakland A’s and San Francisco Giants sparking inspiration for split designed cap. The cap mimics the original design, except for a few details, but retaining the light green underbrim and split design. Additional touches include contrasting eyelets, clear threading and a deadstock vintage pin from 1989.
