
In 2012, the Florida Marlins Major League Baseball franchise gets a new home address and identity. Members of the National Leagues Eastern Division, The Marlins began in 1993 as a expansion team. Two time World Series champs, the Marlins have the colorfull distinction of winning the big game as Wild Card. Both the 1997 and 2003 seasons wins were also the only time the Marlins made it to the post-season. The Marlins ownernship’s push for a new stadium got the Green light from the City of Miami and the Miami-Dade commissioner’s office. As part of this deal for the $515 million dollar ballpark the team changed its name on 11.11.11. Along with the new name, the team unveiled a new identity.
