New Era Snapbacks and Fitted Caps

Peabe’s Top 5 Fitted Baseball Caps of 2011

In no way is my top 5 in any order from good to best, I’m way too indecisive for that. I also kinda “cheated” on some of these, because I posted collections instead of individual fitteds. But whatever, this is my top 5 and I would hope not everyone agrees with my list. Let’s proceed…

1. BENNY GOLD – “Varsity”

Not only are the details in each of of these pieces amazing, the nostalgia factor put it over the top for me. Memories of rocking Starter caps of the U, Georgetown, or USC get revived and updated 10x fresher with Mr. Gold’s tribute to these famous colleges and their colorways.

2. Black Scale x 5th Column - “Blood Flea”

As usual, the SF based Black Scale kills it with the Black, White, and Red color palette.  They keep it super clean with the Black crown, and a clean remix of the 5th Column logo in Red dripping White everywhere.

3. Rebel8 – “Milwaukee”

Blame it on Sons of Anarchy for my obsession with biker jacket imagery and have Mike Giant do his own twist on it for Rebel8, you’ve got yourself a winner.

4. Mishka x The Clink Room – “Cycotics City”

I don’t know why these pieces didn’t sell out instantly. The details and layers that went into the embroidery of these caps is just so ridiculous. Clink and Mishka just killed these fitteds and Teal and Magenta will always get more gold stars from me.

5. Beams – “35th”

Look at this collection, all the classic colorways with nods to classic baseball teams. Everyone of these pieces just gives me joy. Good job, Beams.
